Vertigo and Migraine Headaches

The connection between vertigo and migraines continues to deepen. Dr. Raymond Damadian, the inventor of the MRI machine, found some very interesting information by using an upright MRI that shows how a misalignment in the upper neck area changes the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid to the brain. Cerebrospinal fluid is vital to proper brain function as it acts as a lubricant to, not only the brain, but also the spinal cord.

Because of the MRI machine, research has revealed much about upper vertebrae misalignments, how these can hinder the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. That, in turn, causes the cerebrospinal fluid to back up leading to intracranial pressure. So, how does all of this help to understand migraines and vertigo?

According to this report, a 54-year-old woman was suffering from migraine headaches about once or twice a week. She had been in an auto accident approximately 10 years prior and ever since suffered bouts of vertigo and chronic pain in her neck. She sought the care of Dr. Lenarz. In 12 weeks’ time, she saw Dr. Lenarz 19 times, but only required 3 adjustments to her upper cervical spine. After her first exam, she suffered one migraine two weeks later. After that, she reported no migraines, vertigo, or neck pain.
